This Website (signaljam.me)
We don't track you. Our site stores no cookies, and there are no embedded analytics scripts. You can verify this by checking the data clearing options in your browser, and using a content filtering extension like uBlock Origin. We have no insights into how our website is performing.
When you visit our website, your IP address and some other basic information from your browser is likely collected by Flokinet, our web hosting provider, which was selected for its focus on privacy. To our knowledge, this is no more (and possibly less) than the information collected by visiting any other website, even the most privacy-respecting. Flokinet's privacy policy is available here.
Podcast episodes are embedded in our website through our podcast host, Yellowball.fm, also selected for its focus on and commitment to privacy. Yellowball stores some limited data, like IP address and User Agent, for ten days in order to provide aggregated analytics about how and where the show performs, as well as technical troubleshooting. Yellowball's privacy policy is available here.
Podcast Apps
If you listen to our show through a podcast app, there is a good chance data is being collected by that service, and you are subject to its respective privacy policy. We have no control over this. Signal Jam is distributed on Amazon, Apple Podcasts, Player.fm, Simplecast, and Spotify. Many other providers tap into these feeds to populate their own. You can find the privacy policy of our distribution providers below:

Social Media
If you send us direct message us on one of our social platforms, you are subject to their respective privacy policies. As a general rule, we encourage communication through a more private method, like our encrypted email providers, public key encrypted email, or Signal. We engage limitedly on social media but refrain from using it as a primary communication method.
